- No ammo underflow, wrong warps, artificial items, or memory corruption.
- All custom sprites are allowed, except the hitbox viewer sprite.
- All tileset themes are allowed, except the practice outlines theme.
- No inaccurate emulators - zsnes and snes9x < 1.43 are banned.
- Controller mappings must be bijective - one action = one key, and vice versa.
- D-pad left+right/up+down is banned, and SOCD resolution abuse is not permitted.
- No Turbo controllers, savestates, rewind or slowdown.
